Ghio Ong, Helen Flores - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines -The De La Salle University (DLSU) is awarding full scholarship grants to 50 deserving public high school graduates under its Vaugirard Scholarship Program (VSP) for next school year, the Department of Education (DepEd) has announced. Education Secretary Armin Luistro, former DLSU president, said the scholarship includes a full waiver on tuition, miscellaneous and other fees throughout their stay in DLSU, a monthly stipend of P 10,000 to cover accommodation, food and travel expenses, and advance enrollment privileges. He said DepEd has already selected 29 public schools nationwide that will serve as testing centers for the administration of the DLSU College Admission Test (CAT) from October to November this year. â€œThis is aligned with the Department of Education’s (DepEd) drive to strengthen public-private partnerships towards achieving ‘Education for All’,” Luistro said.
