Photographer in the mud

A photographer won P50,000 for topping a privately-sponsored photography contest. It turned out, however, that the winning photo was not captured by the photographer himself but was the work of a photographer based in Vietnam. So he won the cash prize and admiration of many for the work of another. He has since issued a statement to the effect that the photo came from a friend and that he was unable to verify its source. Too late. He has been reportedly disowned by the photography clubs he used to be a member of.

A few weeks ago, his photos of a couple having a pre-nup shoot on a ricefield were a hit on social media. Now, it is as if he finds himself in the very same mud.
