Whole of nation

It takes two to tango as they say, but it takes the whole of society to rebuild a nation.

The past months have not only brought chaos and confusion but also despair. We are grieving. All of us. We grieve the loss of the norm as we prepare for what we are calling as the new norm.

Physical distancing hasn’t been easy especially since our culture is one that is known to be loving. Some of us have been away from our families, and thanks to technology we at the very least get to have some semblance of closeness.

Times have been extremely tough. We are at breaking point, yet this is the exact same place we find the courage to push and move forward. Everyone’s cooperation is absolutely necessary and the rebuilding stage calls for a different kind of action. While quarantine has separated us, new innovative ways are needed to once again unite us.

Sacrifices to build again is in order and we all need to come together to make this happen. While we all hope that a better tomorrow is in store despite our troubles, it is also time that we set politics and greed aside.

After all, and in the end, we all fail if we do not commit to picking each other up no matter how small. This crisis as we know chooses no one but everyone can pay it forward.

In the midst of chaos, it is always so uplifting to see people lend a helping hand and honorable acts are not only appreciated but also reciprocated. We all share in the sorrow of this crisis and kind acts revive the spirit. More and more we see good samaritans along the way. Giving out water to our frontliners and handing out masks show the strength of humanity.

On a larger scale and in the part of government, agencies coming together to beat a virus should prove that the greater good is the goal. We all look forward to the end of this quarantine, but until then, until we realize that power of our character defines our victory, moving as one nation can help us overcome and the new norm will be easier to bear.

It takes the entire nation to heal as one. Once and for all let us choose to be one solid nation. It is simply about time.
