One atheist in the family is enough

THE EAR - The Freeman

FOREIGN HUSBAND. A foreigner from a first world country told his Filipino wife he was leaving her for a while to attend to some business abroad.

NO BAPTISM. He, an atheist, also told her that their newly born daughter should not be baptized while he is away. Their daughter will decide for herself at age nine which religion she would like to belong to, or, if she wants, she could decide to be an atheist, he said.

FILIPINO WIFE. But the wife, being a Catholic through and through, had her daughter baptized when he wasn't looking.
