More fire hydrants in interior areas

FIRE HYDRANTS. A Bangladeshi traveler who identified himself as a retired fire official in Dhaka who happened to be around when the series of fires hit some areas in the city, has suggested that as many fire hydrants as possible be put up in the city’s “interior areas.” That is what they did in Dhaka, the Bangladeshi capital, he shared in a talk with The Ear informer.

RESPONSIBILITY. The Bangladeshi traveler said the upkeep of every fire hydrant should be the responsibility of families living near the hydrants. “They make sure the fire hydrants are functional all the time and can easily be located by the firemen,” he said.
