A call to Catholics to rally vs. the RH Bill!

SHOOTING STRAIGHT - Bobit S. Avila -

The Senate Ethics Committee will decide tomorrow whether the complaint against Sen. Manny Villar on his alleged unethical practice where he allowed two over-passes along C-5 was truly advantageous to his Real Estate Company. I don’t know why this issue has taken this long. Could it be that Sen. Villar’s potential presidential opponents in the Senate, like Sen. Mar Roxas, Sen. Loren Legarda, Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Sen. Richard Gordon wanted it closer to the election season in order to “eliminate” a potentially strong adversary? I’m no great fan of Sen. Manny Villar, but looking at the number of Senators running for President, I don’t think the Ethics Committee can give Mr. Villar the justice he wants.

This text message that has been spreading around is for all Catholics who still obey Catholic Doctrine. It reads, “The most dangerous RH bill is now set for votation in Congress between May 18 to June 1. With the newly-added 30 Congressmen, nisamot nga tagilid ta sa votes plus the funded pro-RH movements doing rallies and campaigns nationwide. To counter this, we will have a Candlelight Prayer for Life vs. RH Bill” on Wednesday May 20 at 5:30pm at the Fuente Osmeña circle. Everybody must bring Rosaries and Candles. Join us and help us inform and mobilize people.”

This is a call to battle to defend the Catholic Church by loyal Catholics. I say loyal Catholics because I understand that there’s even an organization that calls itself “Catholics for RH Bill”. They should stop being Catholics if they do not follow Catholic doctrines. So ask yourself, what have you done to help your own church lately?

I believe we’ve gone beyond debating whether or not the RH bill is good or bad. The RH bill is nothing but a launching pad for a future Abortion Bill. It may not have provisions for abortion today, but this bill prepares for it. Perhaps the most obvious reason why Congress is pushing for the RH bill is the huge amount of money that selfish or vested interests are pouring into the pockets of those Congressmen who are supporting this bill. With 30 new Congressmen entering the Halls of Congress and having very limited time to look for money-making projects, they are ripe target for those institutions who would throw money into their laps just to vote for this bill.

This is how corruption in Congress works. They agree to come up with a proposed law that, like the RH bill, would enshrine the use of condoms, and the lawmakers get an “advance” from their profits. These lobbyists pour money into this bill because the Philippines is one of the few Catholic countries that still has no law promoting abortion. Catholic Italy, Spain and Mexico succumbed a long time ago. But do you think God is asleep? No sir, the Swine Flu that struck Mexico City came out on the very anniversary of the signing of the law that allowed for abortion in Mexico.

Today, this issue is still hotly contested. A few days ago, pro-life protesters staged the first ever rally against US President Barack Obama who was a commencement speaker for the Notre Dame University. They protested against NDU for allowing a pro-abortion President to be their guest speaker. This is also happening in the Philippines when the De LaSalle University honored former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair who recently became a Catholic although he is pro-abortion. My Alma mater, the University of San Carlos (USC) allows its pro-RH Trustees to promote the RH Bill in their audiovisual rooms.

All this is happening for one single reason, that we need to reduce the population of our country because we have too many poor people, which then makes us a 3rd World Country. This is what mainstream economists have been saying decades ago, until the opening up of China, when it became the world’s largest market thanks to its huge population. We do not need to cull our population, we just need to focus on truly educating our people, which is why we are the most wanted workers all over the world especially in place where their populations are shrinking.

Take a good look at a YouTube video, “Muslims are Taking over the World at an Alarming Rate” and you will realize that when nations cull their populations through mass abortions, the result is very disturbing, their populations will be replaced by immigrants and like in Europe, mostly Muslim immigrants.

So, should we allow the RH Bill to pass through Congress? If you don’t, then your Catholic Church needs you to go to Fuente Osmeña circle at 5:30 PM for a candlelight vigil where we will collectively pray to God to help us defend this country from the evil that threatens our shores. I hope to see you there!
