Why must Pacman speak Tagalog when interviewed in Cebuano?

- The Ear -

WHY TAGALOG? When Pacman was interviewed by Cebuano mediamen during a lull in his training in Punta Princesa, he answered the questions in Tagalog. One mediaman said: “Pacman comes from a Cebuano-speaking province, why does he have to speak in Tagalog when interviewed in Cebuano?” Another mediaman said: “Nganong maglisudlisud man siyag tinagalog nga mahimo man siya mag-Binisaya dinhi sa Sugbo?”

HAZING AGAIN. Six members of a notorious fraternity have been arrested by police for hazing neophytes. The law is very strict against hazing. But there are observers who are betting their balls that these frat hazers will just go scot free. “Wa pay nang-hazing nga napriso,” one observer was heard saying.
