MANILA, Philippines — Social media users pointed out an interesting detail that United States of America Vice President Kamala Harris' win as the second highest official of the US was allegedly predicted by the long-time running cartoon "The Simpsons."

In the official swearing-in ceremony of the newly-elect US president and vice president, Harris wore a purple dress and coat. Social media users, who are fans of the show, pointed out that the Simpsons had predicted the vice president's outfit way back in 2000.

In the animation series, the episode “Bart to the Future” features Lisa Simpson as the newly appointed president of the United States, replacing Donald Trump. The dress that she wore in the episode is exactly the same worn by Harris on US Presidential inauguration day.

“Kamala Harris really is Lisa Simpson and I’m all for it,” Twitter user @thebarefootbandit wrote.

“Everything is planned Call me hand. Lisa ‘Simpson’s purple jacket and pearls combo bore an uncanny similarity to Vice President Harris,” @waliyahhadid wrote on Twitter.

“The Simpsons” reportedly predicted numerous world events, including Trump becoming US president, the auto-correct feature of cellphones, smartwatches, the ebola outbreak, Disney buying 20th Century Fox, and Lady Gaga’s Super Bowl halftime show, to name a few.
