MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang has declared special non-working holidays in four areas in the country to allow residents to participate in local festivities and milestone events.
Today, July 4, is a special holiday in San Julian, Eastern Samar as provided under Proclamation 1336, marking the town’s founding anniversary.
The proclamation was signed by Executive Secretary Ralph Recto by the authority of President Marcos on Thursday.
Proclamation 1334 declared July 15 a special holiday in the Cordilleras to mark the autonomous region’s 39th founding anniversary.
July 27 is a non-working day in Glan, Sarangani as provided under Proclamation 1335, allowing the local government and the residents to celebrate the town’s founding anniversary.
Proclamation 1333 declared Aug. 20 a special day in Esperanza, Masbate for the celebration of the Lilas Festival.
The festival highlights the town’s artistry and cultural heritage as well as the craftmanship of the people.
