2 killed in Cavite gun attack

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A village watchman and a vendor were killed in an attack by a lone assailant in Dasmariñas, Cavite on Monday.

The watchman, identified only as Rody, 51, was buying food in Barangay Emmanuel Bergado 1 when he was killed at past 8 a.m.

The gunman had reportedly been waiting for the victim to step out of his house and tailed him.

A bullet hit a vendor, identified only as Annalinda, 48, killing her instantly.

Probers have yet to review footage of a closed-circuit television camera installed in the area to identify the suspect.
