MANILA, Philippines — First Lady Liza Marcos was impressed with the five-minute crime response of the Philippine National Police after witnessing how the PNP policy is being implemented.
During her visit to Camp Crame in Quezon City on Thursday, Marcos tested for herself the emergency response enforced by PNP chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III.
Marcos was accompanied by Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office general manager Melquiades Robles and Special Envoy on Transnational Crime Ambassador Markus Lacanilao.
In a post on Instagram, Marcos said she asked for police officers to locate Ilocos Norte Gov. Cecilia Araneta-Marcos.
With just one call to the 911 emergency hotline, the First Lady said police found the governor in less than two minutes.
“Super proud of our dedicated men and women in uniform. You make us feel safe, seen and supported.” “No need to run to the precinct anymore – the police are right in your phones, ready to respond anytime!”
