Vico Sotto proclaimed winner of Pasig mayoral elections

MANILA, Philippines — Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto was officially declared the winner of the city's mayoral elections on Tuesday morning, May 13. 

Sotto, who won by a wide margin over candidate Sarah Discaya, will now be serving his third and final term.

Sotto's running mate Dodot Jaworski has also been proclaimed the winner of the vice mayoralty race.

Partial and unofficial results from transmitted election returns (81.12% as of 5:02 a.m.) show that Sotto received 286,289 votes. In comparison, Discaya garnered 24,151 votes. 

Jaworski earned 236,566 votes, higher than the 58,805 that Iyo-Caruncho Bernardo received.
