Philippines SWAT team 25th among world’s top 100
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team advanced 11 positions in this year’s international ranking, achieving 25th spot out of 103 teams worldwide.
During the awarding ceremony for the United Arab Emirates SWAT Challenge 2025 at Camp Crame on Wednesday, the PNP-SWAT received the Medalya ng Kasanayan.
PNP deputy chief for operations Lt. Gen. Robert Rodriguez presided over the ceremony.
In his message read by Rodriguez, PNP chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil commended the SWAT team’s performance on the international stage, saying it made the “national police and the country proud.”
The UAE SWAT Challenge tests the capabilities of the world’s top tactical units in high-pressure scenarios, teamwork, adaptability and operational excellence.
