MANILA, Philippines — At least 200 families lost their homes when a fire razed a residential area in Muntinlupa City yesterday morning.

In a report, the Bureau of Fire Protection said the blaze started at the house owned by Rowena Cantos in Barangay Alabang at 4:48 a.m.

At least 40 firetrucks responded to the fire, which reached second alarm before it was put out at 9:42 a.m.

No one was reported injured in the incident. Damage to property was placed at P750,000.
