P3.79 million shabu seized in Laguna

MANILA, Philippines — Shabu with an estimated street value of P3.79 million was recovered from three drug suspects in Lumban, Laguna yesterday.

Operatives of the police Drug Enforcement Group arrested Jim Llamanzares, 50; Sigfred Mercado, 47, and Cynthia Cabriga, 20, in Barangay Maytalang at 3:30 a.m., PDEG director Col. Dionisio Bartolome Jr. said.

Police said the three were apprehended after selling shabu to undercover agents.

A motorcycle and a cell phone of the suspects were confiscated.

In Misamis Oriental, authorities said 55 grams of shabu worth P374,000 were seized from ”high-value” suspect Leo Labis in Barangay Sta. Ana in Tagaloan.
