Malabon’s most wanted fugitive caught

MANILA, Philippines — The most wanted fugitive in Malabon was arrested on Friday.

Joseph Layno, 57, was apprehended by lawmen in Barangay Tonsuya at around 2 p.m., Northern Police District director Brig. Gen. Rizalito Gapas said in a report.

Layno has a warrant of arrest issued by Malabon Regional Trial Court Branch 73 Judge Catherine Therese Tagle-Salvador for two counts of rape. The court refused to grant bail to Layno.

No other details on Layno’s case were available as of yesterday.

The suspect is detained at city police station’s detention cell.
