Emmanuel Tupas - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — For buying milk teas from another store, an owner of a pool hall threatened three 16-year-old boys with a handgun in Quezon City on Friday.

Jose Monsior Ramos was arrested by operatives of the Fairview police station, under the supervision of Lt. Col. Elizabeth Jasmin, for his actions against the three boys.

The incident occurred in front of the Papa Pearl Milk Tea shop in Barangay Greater Fairview at around 5:30 p.m, the Quezon City Police District said.

The boys were playing billiards at Ramos’ pool hall when they decided to buy milk tea at the adjacent shop.

For unknown reasons, Ramos chased the victims and confronted them with profanities.

Ramos then pulled out a Glock air pistol and showed the weapon to the victims.

The boys reported what happened to them to their parents, who in turn, sought assistance from police officers.

Ramos was arrested at his pool hall and brought to the police station for investigation.

He faces complaints of violating Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act and RA 10591, the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition.
