UP releases admissions results
MANILA, Philippines — The University of the Philippines (UP) yesterday released the results of its admissions process for incoming freshman students this year.
Applicants were advised to access the application portal https://upadmissionsonline.up.edu.ph to view the results.
Qualifiers were given until May 15 to reply to the university’s offer for admission.
UP has yet to release the total number of qualifiers for academic year 2023-2024, which is expected to start in September.
Like in 2021 and 2022, applicants for the incoming academic year did not take the UP College Admission Test (UPCAT) due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Instead, the university adopted the UP college admissions system, which assessed applications based on an “admissions scoring model” using the grades of the students from Grades 8 to 11.
UPCAT will again be administered on June 3 and 4 for incoming freshmen for AY 2024-2025.
UP offers 190 undergraduate programs in its eight constituent universities in Diliman, Baguio, Los Baños, Manila, Visayas, Cebu, Mindanao and the Open University and one autonomous college in Tacloban City.
