Tinder swindler: Woman steals cash, gadgets from American

MANILA, Philippines — An American man lost P85,500 worth of gadgets and cash to a woman whom he met last week through the dating app Tinder.

The suspect is 19-year-old Felicity Young, said to be a resident of Project 6, Quezon City.

Jacob Adam Rocherfort, 26, who resides in a condominium building in Barangay Sauyo, filed a complaint with the police.

Rochefort told investigators that he first met Young on the popular dating app on Feb. 25.

Young visited the victim at his condominium unit on March 3.

Rocherfort told police that he slept for a few hours with Young still at his place.

When he woke up at around 4 p.m., Rocherfort discovered that his cell phone and power bank worth PP65,500 and P5,000 in cash were missing.

He tried to contact Young on Tinder, but the suspect had blocked him.

Police said they did not find the suspect at her registered address.
