MANILA, Philippines — Four undocumented Taiwanese accused of involvement in crime syndicates were arrested in Makati on Wednesday night, according to the Southern Police District (SPD).

The foreigners were arrested in a police operation in Rockwell and Dasmariñas Village: Wu Jheng Long, also known as Wu Chang Long; Chen Chien-Ning, also known as Chang Yung Han; Chen Chun-Yu and Yang Zong Bao.

Police operatives from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and Makati police arrested the suspects upon a tip by the Taiwan police attaché and the Bureau of Immigration, which has a summary deportation order against them.

Suspect Chen Chun-Yu also yielded firearms of different calibers and ammunition during the operation, police said.

The suspects are reportedly involved in a Taiwan-based syndicate that “engages in production of illegal narcotics, telecom fraud operations and other illegal activities in the Philippines,” according to the SPD.
