MANILA, Philippines — A motorcycle rider died when a jeepney crashed into a hospital in Sta. Ana, Manila yesterday.
Noe Ocenar Abaigar died at the scene after he was thrown off his motorcycle and hit the pavement in front of the Trinity Woman and Child Hospital, according to the Manila Police District.
Jeepney driver Ronaldo Fanis told probers that he lost control of the vehicle due to a flat tire and hit Abaigar.
The jeep plunged into the hospital lobby, injuring security guard Marvin Pelaez and a passenger.
Fanis is being held on charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and physical injuries.
