2 Dawlah Islamiya members nabbed in South Cotabato

COTABATO CITY, Philippines — Two suspected bomb makers of the Dawlah Islamiya terrorist group were arrested in Polomolok, South Cotabato on Wednesday.

Jerry Pandian, 44, and Yeb Salila, 18, were reportedly with the Dawlah Islamiya’s Soccsksargen Khatiba group.

Personnel of the Army’s 6th Infantry Division and Soccsksargen police served arrest warrants for multiple murder at the hideout of the suspects in Barangay Glamang.

A caliber .45 pistol and a magazine with five bullets, a 5.56 mm pistol and bomb materials were reportedly recovered from the suspects.— Ralph Edwin Villanueva
