MALOLOS, Philippines — Members and pensioners of the Social Security System (SSS) displaced by Typhoon Karding may now file their applications for calamity loan.
Julie Ann Arellano, acting senior communications analyst for SSS-Luzon Central 2 Division, said the SSS calamity loan program covers members and pensioners in areas declared under a state of calamity by the government.
The state-run pension agency will open two new programs under the calamity assistance package, according to SSS vice president for Luzon Central 2 Division Gloria Corazon Andrada.
These programs are the calamity loan assistance program for members and the three-month advance pension for SSS and Employees’ Compensation pensioners, Andrada said.
