P7.8 million shabu from London seized in Bacoor
MANILA, Philippines — A package, which contained 1.14 kilos of shabu with an estimated value of P7.8 million that arrived at the Port of Clark from London was confiscated in a controlled delivery operation in Bacoor, Cavite on Tuesday.
Glenn Guillermo, information officer of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Luzon, said the parcel, which was declared as ”babysoft toys,” arrived on Sept. 23.
Noelle Denise Azul, who received the package in Barangay Queen’s Row Central, was arrested.
Octavia de la Cruz, 30, the consignee of the package, eluded arrest.
Authorities said the parcel contained two stuffed toys where the illegal drugs were concealed, six identification cards and a mobile phone. – Ed Amoroso, Emmanuel Tupas, John Unson, Neil Jason Servallos
