MANILA, Philippines — The Pasig government launched yesterday its local senior pension program for unemployed elderly residents.
Starting this month, Mayor Vico Sotto said 16,669 senior citizens would receive P500 monthly pension as part of the local government’s social service program.
The beneficiaries have been validated, Sotto said.
Under the program, unemployed Pasig residents aged 65 and above who have been living in the city for two years or more are qualified to receive the monthly pension.
