Muay Thai instructor slain in Las Piñas

MANILA, Philippines — A muay thai instructor was shot dead in Las Piñas City on Friday night.

Alvin Garcia was on his motorcycle when he was shot in the head by an unidentified assailant at the corner of St. Anne street and Tramo Road in Barangay Zapote at around 7:15 p.m., city police chief Col. Jaime Santos said.

Garcia died at the scene. Police have launched a manhunt for the assailant even as probers are looking for leads to determine the motive for the shooting.
