‘Continue fight against illegal drugs’

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Bong Go on Wednesday led the second day of relief goods distribution for indigent residents of San Isidro town in Davao Oriental.

At least 2,900 persons received grocery packs, vitamins, shirts, meals and snacks. Some select individuals got phablets, watches, shoes and bicycles.

Go, noting how sports can positively impact the lives of Filipinos and help them avoid illegal drugs and other criminal activities, also gave volleyball and basketball balls.

“Let’s not allow President Duterte’s campaign against illegal drugs to go to waste. Help us sustain the campaign against criminality for the next generation,” he said.

Go also urged those eligible to participate in the national vaccination program to get either a jab or a booster shot, noting how vaccines can significantly boost their defenses while keeping their communities safe and helping the country attain population protection through herd immunity.

He also offered to assist those requiring medical treatment thru the Malasakit Center at the Davao Oriental Provincial Medical Center in Mati City.
