MANILA, Philippines — A 63-year-old man died when his car accidentally fell into the water at a port in Barangay Kinawitnon, Babak district in Island Garden City of Samal yesterday.
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said the vehicle of Rogelio Tacder, a resident of Panabo, Davao del Norte, fell from Wess Port at around 2:20 a.m.
Tacder reportedly parked his vehicle while waiting for a ferry bound for Davao when he accidentally accelerated toward the sea.
He was trapped in the vehicle and drowned.
The PCG retrieved the body of the victim at around 6:15 a.m.
