MANILA, Philippines — Operations of the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 were halted when two men on a motorcycle died after falling from a flyover above the MRT-3 tracks in Pasay on Sunday night.

Citing a police report, MRT-3 general manager Michael Capati said the victims died after falling from the EDSA-Tramo flyover between the Magallanes and Taft Avenue stations.

The accident prompted the rail management to suspend trips at around 6:37 p.m., which caused long lines of passengers.

The MRT-3 resumed operations after one hour.

The rail line’s power supply was not affected by the accident, Capati said.
