SCTEX to hike toll starting June 1
MANILA, Philippines — Motorists using the Subic Clark Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) will pay higher toll starting June 1.
The Toll Regulatory Board authorized an increase of 78 centavos per kilometer.
The North Luzon Expressway Corp., which manages SCXTEX, said the toll hike confirmed the periodic rate adjustments due in 2017.
Under the new toll matrix, SCTEX will charge Class 1 vehicles traveling between Mabalacat City and Tarlac an additional P31.
Class 2 vehicles traveling on the same route will pay an additional P61 and Class 3 vehicles will pay an additional P92.
Meanwhile, an additional P49, P98 and P147 will be collected from Class 1, 2, and 3 vehicles, respectively, traveling between Mabalacat City and Tipo, Hermosa, Bataan (near Subic Freeport).
NLEX said public utility buses would continue to enjoy the old rates for three months.
