Cebu Pacific resumes Manila-Hong Kong flights  

MANILA, Philippines — Cebu Pacific resumed its flights from Manila to Hong Kong yesterday after more than three months.

The resumption came after the government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) lifted the ban on the entry of passengers from nine countries, including the Philippines, to the Hong Kong International Airport.

Cebu Pacific’s last Manila-Hong Kong flight prior to yesterday’s resumption was on Dec. 29, 2021.

Cebu Pacific said Hong Kong residents, holders of Hong Kong SAR or British passports and individuals with Hong Kong documents of identity would be accepted on its flights.

Overseas Filipino workers with Hong Kong work visa are considered as Hong Kong residents, according to the budget carrier.

It said non-residents will not be accepted for flights.

Other guests who will be accepted on flights are passengers traveling from mainland China, Taiwan or Macao SAR and who have not been to other countries or regions in the past 14 days; diplomatic or official passport holders (subject to prevailing visa requirements); spouse and children of Hong Kong residents; local government personnel performing official duties; passengers holding new entry visa to work, study, establish or join in any business, or take up residence in Hong Kong; and personnel approved by the Hong Kong SAR government to carry out anti-epidemic work.
