P6.8 million shabu seized in Cavite

MANILA, Philippines — Anti-narcotics officers confiscated a kilo of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu worth P6.8 million in General Trias, Cavite on Wednesday night.

Eman Boncarawan, 29; Norhanah Dirampatin, 28, and Nur-Laila Capatagan, 20, were arrested by operatives of the police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) in Barangay Pasong Camachile I at around 10:30 p.m.

PDEG director Brig. Gen. Randy Peralta said a manhunt for another suspect, Noralyn Macalangan is underway.

Apart from shabu, a cell phone and identification cards were recovered from the suspects who are being held on charges of drug trafficking.

In Rizal, a suspected drug pusher arrested in Taytay on Wednesday allegedly yielded 135 grams of shabu.

The illegal drugs, with an estimated street value of P918,000, were confiscated from Mark Paul Regaspi, 32, who was apprehended in Barangay San Juan at around 1:15 p.m.

Regaspi was also caught in possession of P500 in marked money.
