CALAUAG, Quezon, Philippines — A 13-year-old boy accidentally shot and killed himself while playing with a gun in Barangay Sumulong in this town on Thursday night.
S/Sgt. Michael Verdeflor said initial investigation showed that the boy was seen playing with a caliber .45 pistol at around 7:30 p.m.
The boy was later found sprawled on a couch in the living room with a gunshot in his body.
The victim died while being treated at the St. Peter’s General Hospital.
The boy reportedly took the gun from the cabinet where it was kept.
