50 stranded Pinoys home from Bahrain

MANILA, Philippines — Fifty stranded Filipinos have been repatriated from Bahrain, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announced yesterday.

The repatriates, including pregnant and overstaying Filipinos, arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Jan. 31.

The DFA said the Philippine embassy coordinated with Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior to secure the exit clearances of the Filipinos.

According to the DFA, the embassy continues to provide assistance in repatriating stranded Filipinos in Bahrain as part of the Philippine government’s COVID response program.
