MANILA, Philippines — Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) bound for Oman are required to get fully vaccinated, according to the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).
In an advisory yesterday, POEA chief Bernard Olalia said the government of Oman prohibits unvaccinated migrant employees from going to work.
Olalia said two-dose vaccination is a requisite for non-Omani workers aged 18 and above.
Migrant workers are also required to present a negative RT-PCR test issued within 72 hours, he said.
The POEA reminded OFWs to apply for a vaccination certificate through VaxCertPh portal at least two weeks prior to their scheduled departure.
The vaccination certificate is free, the POEA said.
