Cavite SK chairman held for illegal drugs

MANILA, Philippines — A Sangguniang Kabataan chairman allegedly involved in the illegal drug trade was arrested in Alfonso, Cavite on Thursday.

Reymart Digma, 26, a resident of Barangay Poblacion IV, was apprehended in a sting in Barangay Luksuhin Ibaba at around 4 p.m.

The Cavite police said Digma sold marijuana to an undercover police officer. The suspect reportedly yielded nine sachets of of marijuana.

Meanwhile, around 10 grams of shabu were seized in Bacoor, Cavite yesterday.

Franklie Binggan, 33; Oliver Plaza, 59; Bryan Lovena, 26, and Job Jose, 33, were arrested in Barangay San Nicolas II at around 1:30 a.m.

Police said a .45-caliber pistol and drug paraphernalia were also recovered from the suspects.
