New NLEX Meycauayan service road opened

MEYCAUAYAN, Bulacan, Philippines — The Meycauayan East Service Road along the North Luzon Expresway (NLEX) was opened to motorists yesterday.

The service road connects Libtong in Meycauayan City and Lawang Bato in Valenzuela City.

Using a portion of the NLEX right-of-way, the Department of Public Works and Highways constructed the one-kilometer, two-lane service road as alternate route for those traveling between the cities of Meycauayan and Valenzuela.

The new service road is also seen to help improve flow of traffic during rush hour at the Meycauayan Interchange.

The project is part of Bulacan road network improvements to boost the economy and ensure travel convenience and safety in the area.– Richmond Mercurio
