29 Bacolod barangays log zero COVID-19 cases

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines — Twenty-nine of the 61 barangays in this city recorded zero COVID-19 cases in the past two weeks.

Emergency Operations Center-Task Force executive director Em Ang said 14 other barangays logged only three cases from Nov. 9 to 22.

The city also had 23 barangays with no single COVID case from Oct. 28 to Oct. 10.

In her report to Mayor Evelio Leonardia, Ang expressed confidence the city would sustain a drop in new cases with continued cooperation from the public.

The city recorded 654 active cases as of Monday.

Meanwhile, in Pangasinan, only six towns and three cities are in the COVID watchlist as of Monday.

The province has 44 towns and four cities.

The provincial health office said these are Bolinao with 12 active cases; Lingayen, 10; San Carlos City, 8; Bani, 7; Bayambang, Malasiqui, San Quintin and Urdaneta City, six each, and Dagupan City, 12.

Agno, Alcala, Anda, Balungao, Dasol, Infanta, Mabini, San Manuel, Sto. Tomas, Sual, Urbiztondo and Alaminos City still have zero cases.

Pangasinan logged 155 active cases as of Monday night with 12 new infections.
