MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Customs (BOC) confiscated on Tuesday allegedly smuggled jet skis, used motorcycles and other items valued at P3.9 million.
The BOC Intelligence Group said it conducted an operation after receiving information about the misdeclared items.
Seized during the operation were 45 used motorcycles and bicycles, two jet skis and household items.
The shipment, which arrived in Manila’s South Harbor on Oct. 3 from Japan, was declared as electric motorcycles, e-bikes and cabinets.
The BOC said charges of violation of the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act would be filed against Fastside Consumer Goods Trading, the consignee of the illegal shipment.
