P68 million shabu seized in Las Piñas
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) confiscated around 10 kilos of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu with a street value of P68 million in two separate stings in Las Piñas from alleged dealers who sell them in bulk.
In a report released yesterday, PDEA said its agents arrested Jealal Shaikalabi Mimbalawag, 23, along C-5 Extension in Barangay Manuyo on Saturday and seized five kilos of shabu from him.
PDEA agents seized another five kilos of shabu in a follow-up operation in Countryhomes in Talon Dos, where they arrested Arabilla Leono, 29.
The confiscated narcotics were concealed in Chinese-labeled tea bags, PDEA said. Agents also seized marked money and vehicles used by the suspects.
Meanwhile, PDEA agents also arrested Musa Nasrudin Baguilan in front of the Bureau of Immigration office in Intramuros, Manila at around 11:45 a.m. yesterday. Baguilan yielded 500 grams of suspected shabu with a street value of P3.4 million.
