PNR to reduce Bulacan-Pampanga travel time

SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, Philippines — Travel time from Malolos in Bulacan to the Clark Freeport in Pampanga will be reduced from one hour and a half to 35 minutes once the Philippine National Railways (PNR) Clark Phase 2 project is completed and becomes operational.

The project is part of the 147-kilometer North-South Commuter Railway project of the Department of Transportation and the PNR.

The project generated more than 7,000 jobs during the construction phase. Once completed, the PNR railway is expected to open some 3,000 additional jobs.

The P283.8-billion PNR Clark Phase 2 project consisted of a 53-kilometer segment with stations in Calumpit, Apalit, San Fernando, Angeles, Mabalacat, Clark International Airport and the New Clark City.
