BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Fully vaccinated travelers can now enter this city without presenting a negative swab test result.

In line with a recent resolution of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF), the city government said fully vaccinated visitors should present only their vaccination card.

Under the IATF resolution, a person shall be considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 two weeks after having received a single-dose vaccine or the second dose of a two-dose series.

The Baguio tourism office said the vaccination card or certificate should show the vaccinating establishment.

Visitors are still required to register online through visita.baguio.ph and obtain a QR-coded tourist pass. There will also be a mandatory triage upon arrival for health and documents verification.

Tourists who had only their first dose are still required to present a negative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction or antigen test result.

Mayor Benjamin Magalong said only 3,000 tourists would be allowed per day as part of the city government’s efforts to safely revive the tourism industry.

The city, which was placed under general community quarantine until July 15, had vaccinated 40 percent of its eligible population.
