P2.5 million drugs, guns confiscated in Pasig condo raid
MANILA, Philippines — Anti-narcotics operatives confiscated around P2.5 million worth of illegal drugs during a raid on a condominium in Barangay Pineda, Pasig City yesterday.
Armed with a search warrant, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) personnel and Pasig police officers raided the unit at around 11 a.m.
The unit was reportedly occupied by Aureo Cabus Jr., who was arrested in a sting in Taguig on May 6. Authorities confiscated P1.9 million worth of illegal drugs from him.
PDEA spokesman Derrick Carreon said among the items found at the unit were 500 grams of marijuana; 250 grams of cocaine; 100 ecstasy capsules; 75 grams of marijuana oil; 450 milliliters of acetone; a .38 caliber revolver; 102 bullets; P50,280 in cash; an iPhone; deposit slips; bank documents and drug paraphernalia.
Meanwhile, PDEA agents seized around 500 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu in a sting in Parañaque yesterday.
Bhads Salindab, 35, and Resty Nanding, 60, were arrested during the sting in Barangay San Dionisio at around 8:50 a.m. They are being held on charges of drug trafficking.
