MANILA, Philippines — Over P2 million worth of kush plants, a high-grade marijuana variant, were found in a condominium unit in Taguig on Thursday afternoon.

Operatives from the National Captital Region Police Office; Taguig and Taytay, Rizal police, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency confiscated 137 pots of kush from a unit on the fourth floor of the Royal Palm Residences in Barangay Ususan, Taguig at around 2:30 p.m.

After a weeklong surveillance, law enforcers staged a sting to arrest Spanish-American Raul Antonio Cisneros, 36, a retired personnel of the United States Air Force, and his partner Meljie Cuase Maquiling, 28.

The couple reportedly sold three sachets of kush for P5,000 to undercover law enforcers.

The plants and the equipment used to grow them were valued at P2,226,000, police said.

The couple reportedly supplied kush to clients in Taguig, Makati and Pasig as well as nearby towns in Rizal province.

Drug suspects arrested by the Taytay police named the couple as their alleged supplier.

In July 2019, Cisneros was also arrested for carrying and selling tablets of the party drug ecstasy.
