MANILA, Philippines — Around 49 kilos of marijuana valued at P5.88 million were confiscated by Quezon City police officers in Tabuk City, Kalinga on Thursday.
The drugs were seized from Carlos Banosan, 27, and Mylene Bullay, 25, who were arrested during a sting in Barangay Bulanao at around 6:20 p.m., according to Metro Manila police chief Maj. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr.
Danao said lawmen from the Quezon City Police District Station 10 and the Cordillera police drug enforcement unit monitored the suspects, who reportedly agreed to sell P500,000 worth of marijuana to an undercover police officer.
The suspects were placed under arrest after they accepted the marked money.
The suspects are being held on charges of drug trafficking.
