Pangasinan posts 5 new COVID-19 cases

LINGAYEN, Philippines — Five new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19 were recorded in four towns in Pangasinan yesterday.

The provincial health office said two of the new infections were recorded in Binmaley. The towns of Calasiao, Sta. Barbara and Tayug listed a single case each.

The province also posted three new recoveries from the disease including two in Dagupan City and in Aguilar town.

The figures brought to 2,359 and 2,051 the total numbers of confirmed cases and recoveries, respectively.

Local health officers placed 13 areas under watchlist for having a higher number of cases.

These areas included Dagupan City with 62 cases; Mangaldan, 19; Malasiqui and San Carlos City with 15 each; Sison, 14; Rosales, 13; Calasiao, 11; Alaminos City, Bayambang and Tayug with seven cases each, and Binalonan, Sta. Barbara and Sual with four cases each.
