Online registration for overseas voting resumes

Mayen Jaymalin - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has activated the online registration for Filipinos overseas who intend to vote in the May 2022 polls.

The Comelec’s iRehistro facility at https://irehistro.comelec.gov.ph/irehistro/ovf1 has been operational since Dec. 1.

With the online system, overseas Filipinos can choose to apply for registration, certification, transfer or transfer with reactivation or reinstatement of name inadvertently omitted in the national registry of overseas voters, the poll body said.

An applicant may also choose to change one’s name or correct entries in the voter registration record, request to withdraw the application for registration or certification pending approval, reactivation, change of address and updating of photo and signature.

The Comelec said applicants must provide their personal information, passport information, local and foreign residency data and the Philippine embassy or consulate where they intend to register and vote.
