MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will resume the voter registration for Filipinos working and living in other countries beginning tomorrow.

In a resolution, the Comelec said the registration for overseas voting would be held from Sept. 1 until Sept. 30 next year.

The Office for Overseas Voting will accept applications for registration from Mondays to Thursdays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., excluding holidays.

“Applicants are required to set appointments prior to their intended date of visit,” the poll body said.

Applicants may schedule the request for appointment by e-mailing overseasvoting@comelec.gov.ph.

The Comelec said applicants are required to bring their own pen and government-issued identification card. They must also wear a face mask and shield, fill out health declaration forms and follow other safety protocols.

The poll body said applicants are also required to present a screenshot or printout of confirmed appointment to the security personnel before they would be allowed to enter the building.

Applicants who will register a body temperature of 37.8 degrees Celsius and above will be rescheduled for appointment.
