The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go attended the virtual launch of the 73rd Malasakit Center at the Romblon Provincial Hospital in Odiongan town on Tuesday.

Go said these one-stop shops would ensure that Filipinos would have easier access to medical and financial assistance from the government.??

The newly opened Malasakit Center in Romblon is the second in Mimaropa and 35th in Luzon.

Patients or their representatives need only to fill out a unified form to request assistance instead of visiting government offices in various locations.

Go said there is also an express lane for persons with disability and senior citizens.?

He said agencies extending medical and financial assistance, such as the Philippine Health Insurance Corp., Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Health and Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, will be housed in Malasakit Centers.
