Girl, 15, slain in shooting

TUGUEGARAO CITY,  Cagayan, Philippines  – A 15-year-old girl died in a gun attack by motorcycle-riding assailants in Barangay Daclapan, Cabugao, Ilocos Sur on Thursday.

Capt. Ramil Llarenas, Cabugao police chief, said the victim was on a motorcycle driven by her uncle on their way home from a police station after filing a complaint for sexual molestation when they were shot.

The girl suffered multiple gunshot wounds and  was pronounced dead on arrival in a hospital.

Llarenas said it appears that the victim was the target of the killers as her uncle was unhurt.
